What you need to switch
What you need to switch to our wireless plan (and where to get it)
Switching to Wizard takes three pieces of information from your current carrier. Gather them once, hand them to us, and we manage the entire transfer for you. You keep your phone and your number.
The three port essentials
- Your account number — found on your bill or in your carrier's app. Heads up: it's usually not your phone number. Where to find it.
- A Number Transfer PIN — a special one-time code your carrier issues for moving your number. It's not your regular account PIN. How to get one.
- Your billing zip code — specifically for your permanent address.
Two quick checks before you submit
- Your phone is ready. On our supported list, paid off, and unlocked (check out our compatibility checklist).
- Number lock is off. Several carriers turn on port protection by default, and a locked line rejects the transfer even when everything else is perfect. How to turn it off.
While the transfer runs
Keep your old service active — don't cancel anything until we confirm your new service is working. Most transfers complete by the next business day; here's the full timeline.
