Getting a new number instead
Skip the transfer and start fresh with a brand-new number — the fastest way to get up and running.
Don't need to keep your old number? Starting fresh is the simplest way to join Wizard — no transfer details, no waiting on your old carrier, and usually the fastest path to a working line.
Why it's simpler
Transferring a number means coordinating with your old carrier: account numbers, Transfer PINs, and records that have to match exactly. A new number skips all of that. We assign you a number, activate your eSIM, and you're done — often the same day.
This is also the path for current T-Mobile customers, since T-Mobile doesn't allow us to transfer an existing T-Mobile number onto our plan. More in who can join.
What we still need
- Your phone's IMEI — a 15-digit ID number unique to your device. It tells the network which phone to activate. Dial *#06# on any phone to see it, or follow this guide. A screenshot is perfect.
- A compatible phone — on our supported list, paid off, and unlocked. Quick checklist here.
Changed your mind about your old number?
If you decide you'd rather keep it, that works too — just don't cancel your old service yet, since a cancelled number usually can't be recovered. Here's how bringing your number works.
