Fixing No Service or SOS after switching

How to fix most post-switch signal issues.

Seeing No Service, SOS, or an endless "Searching..." right after your switch? This is almost always fixable in a few minutes, and the first three steps solve most cases.

The quick sequence

  1. Airplane Mode, 15 seconds. Turn it on, count to fifteen, turn it off. This forces the phone to re-register with the network.
  2. Restart the phone. Power fully off, wait a few seconds, power on.
  3. Install the carrier settings update. On iPhone: connect to Wi-Fi, go to Settings, General, About, and wait about 30 seconds — if an update is available, a prompt appears. On Android: Settings, System, Software update. This step matters a lot right after a carrier switch — here's why.

Still nothing? Keep going

  1. Update your phone's software. iPhone: Settings, General, Software Update. Android: Settings, System, Software update.
  2. Confirm the right line is on. On dual-SIM phones, go to Settings, Cellular (Android: SIM manager), tap your Wizard line, and make sure Turn On This Line is enabled — and that it's set as default.
  3. Traveling abroad? Turn on Data Roaming: Settings, Cellular, Cellular Data Options. (More on international use.)
  4. Remove any old physical SIM. An old carrier's SIM left in the tray can confuse the phone about which network to use.

If the bars never come back

At this point it's likely something on the account or network side — possibly a transfer that hasn't fully completed (check what's normal here). Email support@wizardperks.com with your phone number and what you've tried. Remember: this goes through us, not a T-Mobile store — they can't see your account.
