What is a managed mobile plan?

A plan on a major network that Wizard runs for you, start to finish.

A managed mobile plan is a phone plan on a major national network that someone other than the network runs for you. With Wizard Perks, that someone is us.

The short version

  • T-Mobile powers it. Your line runs on the T-Mobile network with the same data priority as T-Mobile's own postpaid customers, including 50GB of premium data each month.
  • Wizard runs it. Billing, line changes, and support all happen inside your Wizard account. We're the people you deal with on a day-to-day basis.
  • Someone gave you access. The plan isn't sold to the public. You qualify through the company or program that sent you here, which is why the price is what it is.
  • It's yours to keep. Once you're on the plan, you stay on it, even if you leave the company or program that got you in.

What that means for you

Your phone works like it always has. Same number, same phone, same coverage. The difference is who you deal with: when you'd normally think "I should call my carrier," you message Wizard instead.

That also means T-Mobile stores, T-Mobile customer care, and the T-Life app can't see your account. They aren't being difficult, your account just doesn't live there. Here's how that works, and here's how to reach us.

Is Wizard an MVNO?

No, MVNOs like Mint or Visible buy network capacity and resell it under their own name, usually with data that gets deprioritized behind the network's own customers. A managed mobile plan keeps you on the network's own priority tier. We just handle the account side.
