How the wireless plan works
Your service runs on the T-Mobile network, but billing and support go through us.
We currently offer the cheapest T-Mobile plan on the market. While the plan is powered by T-Mobile, there are a few things about how it works that are worth understanding up front.
The network vs. the company
Your service runs on the T-Mobile network, so your coverage, speed, and reliability come from one of the largest networks in the country. But T-Mobile isn't who you deal with — Wizard Perks is your carrier for everything else:
- Billing goes through us, on the card you signed up with.
- Support goes through us, for everything from a stuck transfer to a voicemail reset.
- Account changes — adding a line, updating a payment method, cancelling — all go through us.
That means you never go into a T-Mobile store or contact T-Mobile directly. In fact, retail T-Mobile stores can't even look up your account. If you need anything, come to us and we'll handle it.
We're similar to other low-cost carriers
We work in a similar way to carriers like Visible and Mint Mobile. They run on big national networks (Verizon and T-Mobile, respectively) while handling their own billing and support. The difference with Wizard is that our plan isn't available to the public, which is why the price is what it is.
What that means day to day
Honestly, not much — your phone works exactly like it always has. You keep your phone and your number, calls and texts behave normally, and the network in your pocket is the same one T-Mobile's own customers use. The only habit to build: when you'd normally think "I should call my carrier," think "I should message Wizard" instead.
